Aims
IJOPMR aims to provide a rigorous, transparent and accessible venue for research that connects molecular design and synthesis with pharmaceutical performance and therapeutic relevance.
Scope
- Organic and synthetic chemistry — new methods, total and fragment synthesis, green and flow chemistry, process chemistry relevant to active pharmaceutical ingredients.
- Medicinal chemistry — hit-to-lead and lead optimisation, structure–activity relationships, bioisosteres, prodrugs, natural-product-derived agents.
- Computational and structural approaches — molecular docking, dynamics, QSAR and machine-learning models validated against experimental data.
- Pharmaceutics and drug delivery — pre-formulation, solid-state chemistry, novel dosage forms, nanocarriers and targeted delivery.
- Pharmaceutical analysis — method development and validation, impurity and stability profiling.
- Pharmacology and toxicology — in vitro and in vivo evaluation, ADME and safety assessment.
- Phytochemistry and pharmacognosy — isolation, characterisation and standardisation of bioactive compounds.
Usually out of scope
- Purely descriptive screening without adequate controls, statistics or compound characterisation.
- Computational predictions with no experimental or literature validation.
- Clinical case series without ethics approval and consent documentation.
Article types
