What we collect
- Account data: name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash), optional title, ORCID iD, country, affiliations.
- Editorial data: manuscripts, files, declarations, reviews, decision letters and workflow history.
- Contact form: name, email, message and your consent timestamp. We store a one-way hash of your IP address to fight spam, not the address itself.
- Usage counts: anonymous daily view/download counts per article; no individual tracking.
- Security logs: staff actions are recorded in an audit log, which may include IP addresses.
Why
To operate the peer-review and publication process, to communicate with authors, reviewers and editors, to secure the service and to meet legal obligations.
