Manuscript structure
- Title page (separate file for double-blind review): title, author names, affiliations, ORCID iDs, corresponding author email.
- Anonymised manuscript: title, abstract, 3–8 keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References.
- Declarations: ethics approval, consent, funding, conflicts of interest, author contributions (CRediT), data availability, use of generative AI.
Formatting checklist
- Word (.docx) or PDF; 12-pt font, 1.5 line spacing, numbered pages and lines.
- SI units; IUPAC nomenclature for new compounds; generic (INN) drug names.
- New compounds: full characterisation (¹H/¹³C NMR, HRMS, purity ≥ 95 % by HPLC or elemental analysis) in the main text or supplementary information.
- Statistics: state tests, sample sizes, replicates and exact P values.
Figures and tables
Upload figures as separate high-resolution files (TIFF/PNG ≥ 300 dpi; line art ≥ 600 dpi). Tables must be editable, not images. Chemical structures should be drawn with a consistent style (e.g., ACS 1996 settings). Do not manipulate images beyond uniform adjustments applied to the whole image.
References
Use a consistent numbered style (Vancouver). Include DOIs where available. Cite primary literature and avoid excessive self-citation.
Reporting guidelines
Authors should follow relevant guidelines, e.g. ARRIVE 2.0 for animal research, CONSORT for randomised trials, STROBE for observational studies and PRISMA for systematic reviews.
Ethics declarations
Studies involving humans or animals must state the approving committee and reference number. Clinical trials must report registration details. Patient-identifiable information requires written consent for publication.
Conflicts of interest, funding and contributions
Disclose all financial and non-financial competing interests, all funding sources (with grant numbers) and each author's contribution.
Data availability
Include a statement explaining where the data supporting the results can be found, or why they cannot be shared.
Plagiarism and originality
Submissions must be original. The editorial office checks manuscripts for overlap with published work. Automated similarity checking is not yet configured; the journal does not report similarity scores until a licensed service is in place.
Use of generative AI
AI tools cannot be authors. Any use of generative AI in writing, image generation or data analysis must be disclosed in the Methods or Acknowledgements and in the submission declarations.
